These Rifton Activity Chairs come in two chair designs, one incorporating a standard base and the other what it terms a Hi/lo base. This product listing is for medium chairbuilt on a standard base; other sizes of the standard-base chair and those on a Hi/lo base are listed separately (see “related products” below).

No-tool adjustments– These Rifton Activity Chairs are simple to adjust. No tools are needed for any adjustment, making it an ideal choice for the busy special needs classroom
Adjust with child in chair-The Rifton Activity Chair can be easily adjusted while a child is in the chair. This saves time and makes adjustments much simpler to gauge
Spring option-The optional springs on the Rifton Activity Chair allow for calming through self-stim. The spring column can be locked when not in use. The Standard base has optional springs in both backrest and seat, making it an ideal choice for children with autism
Choice of 6 fun pad colors-The Rifton Activity Chair seat and backrest pads are made of polyurethane foam, with a polyurethane-coated fabric cover in six choices.

User height determines appropriate size. The charts below provide the dimensions of not only this medium chair, but also the other two sizes of those built on standard base, so that you can select the appropriate one. Note that the column referring to the medium chair is highlighted in yellow.

This medium chair (S840) is made up of five required components, each of which offers one or more options. For instance, the base package includes a stationary space base but in placing your order you can select the base with spring upgrade. Although not required, there are also options for headrests and laterals supports. There are 20 other optional accessories for personalizing your chair.
